What started as a one room office with three drafting tables,
is now one of the leading consulting engineering firms in the Midwest.
GHR continues to build today on the groundwork so carefully laid
by its founders.
GHR was founded in 1949 by R.W. Brown and called "Consulting
Engineering Service." From the beginning, leadership and enthusiasm
were the impetus behind the young business which rapidly grew and
attracted new associates. In 1958 the firm changed its name to
Brown, Manthei, Davis and Mullins, and in 1967 to Brown, Davis,
Mullins and Associates, Inc. The firm was reorganized in 1989 as
Gleason, Hagen, Ramshaw and Associates, Inc. with the current name
of GHR Engineers and Associates, Inc. being adopted in 2000.
GHR and its predecessors have been providing professional engineering
services to a variety of clients since 1949. Over 8,000 different
projects have been undertaken in 15 states, mainly Illinois, Indiana,
Wisconsin and Texas.
Our organization consists of professional engineers and associated
technicians who provide mechanical and electrical system design
services. Design responsibilities include plumbing, process piping,
site utilities, fire suppression, heating, ventilating, air conditioning,
temperature controls, lighting, electrical power generation and
distribution, signal systems, fire alarm, voice communications
and data networks
GHR is committed to the belief that each design solution must
be totally functional and meet the economic needs of every client.
The goal of GHR - past, present and future - is to continue the
quality engineering and client service that has been this firm's
hallmark since 1949.
With absolute confidence, GHR invites clients to "judge us
by our performance."
