Carle Foundation Hospital
2003 Additions and Renovations

This is a 215,000 square foot, multi-phase project carefully configured to facilitate ongoing operations at the Hospital. It demonstrates the proven ability of GHR to deliver timely, quality services on large projects. The project features extensive use and distribution of "campus" steam at multiple pressures. It features extremely demanding emergency power provisions for patient care, patient treatment and life safety systems. Chilled water is provided from the "campus" system which, by the way, was designed by GHR.

Carle Forum

New freestanding medical education building of 44,000 square feet on three levels. State of the art teaching, training and conference facility features acoustically designed hi-tech lecture hall, interactive video conferencing and data network.
The 250 seat auditorium is completely networked, has video conferencing capabilities, sound reinforcement, and complete video and audio presentation system.

Surgical Tower Addition and Remodeling

This project, completed in 2001, is Phase 3 of the Facility Master Plan developed in 1991. The 161,000 square foot, three story addition houses twelve new operating rooms, adult and pediatric pre-op and post-op departments, and Admissions offices.
